1. Microphone Access
Femalina requests microphone permission only for voice notes. Recording starts only after you press the Record button. The app never starts recording in background without your explicit action.

Effective date: April 21, 2026. This policy explains how Femalina handles microphone access, audio, transcription text, and billing data.
2. What Is Recorded
When you use voice notes, audio is recorded and stored on your device as part of your note draft. If you do not grant microphone permission, voice recording is unavailable.
3. Where Audio Is Processed
Audio transcription requires server-side speech recognition. Depending on your selected billing/provider mode, audio is sent either: to OpenAI API directly (OpenAI mode), or through the FPay proxy server (FPay mode) and then to OpenAI for transcription.
4. Data Storage And Retention
On device:
Audio files and transcripts are stored locally in the app until you delete them.
API keys and authorization tokens are stored in encrypted local storage.
On server (FPay mode):
FPay stores account, session, and billing metadata (for example: user ID, session details, usage seconds, cost, timestamps, transaction records).
FPay is used as a transcription proxy and billing layer; audio is processed for transcription requests.

5. How To Delete Data
Delete individual notes or recordings inside the app feed.
Use Settings -> General -> Delete all records to remove all local notes and recordings.
You can log out from FPay profile in Settings and terminate active sessions.

6. Data Sharing
Data is shared only with service providers required to deliver transcription and billing: OpenAI (speech-to-text processing) and FPay server components (account/billing/session operations). We do not sell personal data.
